Mistakes:Calendar Management

Mistakes are but common. Some people say to err is human thus succumbing to the irrevocable truth that we're all bound to commit an error no matter what because we're human. That's mean, I agree, but the truth in it is undeniable.

People who brand the full-force of their scholarship, who have laudable resumes and are part of the high echelon do commit mistakes. And sometimes so grave at that. That's why it is understandable that sometimes we don't get the perceived output because something in the process went wrong. That's okay but definitely not tolerable. to condone a mistake is to allow mediocrity. Something that everybody despises.

Putting Calendar Management task in context, one common loophole is the inability to supply the accurate data suggestive of the lack of keen attention to details. This mistake is often committed probably because they appear to basic a job and thus vulnerable to being left-out. That's absurd because one calendar event may change a person's life.

For instance, you've prepared for an interview and with certainty you can say you can take home the job but then because your VA forgot to plot the right event to the the right time, you've missed your chance of a lifetime. Sorry. But that won't bring it all back.

So it is paramount that a VA has a keen attention to details and has the patience to go over the tiny stuff to make sure that nothing spills off. How can this be rectified? Simple, just put yourself on the shoes of your client. Think of your own reactions when something so important isn't achieved only because you've plotted 10 AM instead of 7 AM for your job interview.

Daily Task Records: Calendar Management

Daily Task records will discuss the routines of the assistants. This will elaborate the things that they do on a daily basis. Let's start with the most basic one: Calendar management.

Calendar management transpires almost every day.And for me, even if my device (mobile phones) is capable of reminding me of the what-to-dos or the where-to-gos, I always entrust this task to a VA. Well, simply because my mind gets too crammed up sometimes that I just need to outsource. The very reason why I hired a VA in the first place.

Calendar management is a simple task since it's basically encoding the right data to the right dates. This is one of the common tasks done by a Virtual Assistant (VA) . Normally, I send them the event with complete information and is ready for plotting. Although, this task may appear simple and very elementary, one single error committed in this task may be very detrimental. Imagine you failed to attend your job interview only because the plotted time is different or the place indicated is kilometers away from the actual interview venue. That's downright stupidity, right? But that happens at times. And In order to avoid that, a VA must have a keen attention to details. Let's dwell on that in the mistakes category.

Introduction

Some people may find life difficult especially when the pressures and demands of their work are taking their toll on them. There inability to do other things that will make life life is always moored on the fact that they are tied-up with work and that their only escape is retirement which only comes after 20 or 30 years of working. That's unsightly. You see people losing their social lives because they have to beat deadlines, they have to research for information related with work on their own. They do things one at a time. They get tired too often and they become less productive.

I once was a part of that clique. Doing things on my own, drifting away from what's supposedly a good life until I stumbled upon a new industry called Outsourcing and a new brand of people who call themselves Virtual Assistants. As the name suggests, they are my assistants who work from a remote place, hence virtual. I share everything with them, especially the tasks that I once handle independently. They take away the burdens from my shoulder and they make everything seems easier. Booking for a flight, managing my calendar, researching for some needed information and managing my emails are among the many things this new breed of professionals do for me. Imagine how much time I am able to save and use for other things. That's definitely one antidote to this fast-paced era problem.

Although, these people are well trained and well equipped with the needed skills, talents and wisdom, there's still a relatively huge room for their improvement. That's why I have  listed their common mistakes as a topic in order to understand why and how are these mistakes  committed . We will look into the reasons and then focus on the possible solutions that will minimize if not totally eliminate these errors.

In doing the tasks, what matters to me is the process on how those tasks are done regardless of the outcome because I believe that once the process is right, the outcome will always be right. So frame-works or patterns are really valuable to me that's why I have incorporated Work-Flows as part of the discussion. These work-flows are formulated by the these Virtual Assistants as their guide. Their guide on doing things fast and right.

Having mentioned that, I make it a point to share the great things and ideas shared by my assistants on how to make my life more livable and easy (or easiest). So, you will see one category devoted only to discuss this fresh and brilliant ideas imparted by these great individuals.

I'm having a good life and I want you to have the same.
